Friendships are formed and secrets revealed. One man will become her lover, while the other becomes her best friend. Together, they have a past they cannot change, a present they must live through, and a future yet to be discovered. However, every time things appear to settle down for the trio, fate deals another blow, testing their trust and faith in each other and the love they have created.

 Interview

1) Is There a Message in Your Novel That You Want Readers to Grasp?
Yes most definitely. My biggest fear in life, would be to lose my husband or my children. So the message I want the reader and myself to learn, is when one chapter closes another one opens. It is never the same same as the last chapter but it can be equally as good.

2) Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
Yes sometimes I have spend so much time writing notes on a chapter and I know what direction I am heading and then one of the characters takes over and goes in a totally different direction. When I reread the chapter I am amazed I wrote it because that is not at all the direction I was going.  Edward in Under Her Wings was the most dominating character and changed parts of the book to his liking.

3) How many books have you written and which is your favorite?
I am currently writing my third and have started my fourth. I love each of my books they become like children but my favorite is my second book Lyrics, Heart & Soul. I very rarely ever cry but that book makes me cry. Every chapter is a song title and when I hear those songs I can envision the chapter like a movie.

4) If You had the chance to cast your main character from Hollywood today, who would you pick and why?
I would 100% pick Penelope Cruz. She is Gabriella through and through. I think she is beautiful and very talented.

5) When did you begin writing?
I began writing about two years ago and published my first book last year! I travel every year with my husband to exotic locations around the world and write detailed accounts to send to family and friends. Some started to forward the emails to their friends and family and told me I should be writing full time. So here I am.

6) How long did it take to complete your first book?
It took me just over a year to write my first book because I didn’t tell a soul except my critique partner who was also writing a book. I have a very demanding job and a family so I wrote on Saturdays or at night when everyone was sleeping because I wasn’t ready to share that I had written a book until I was done.
7) Did you have an author who inspired you to become a writer?
Yes I fell in love with reading because of Diana Gabaldon. I also fell in love with Scotland and travelled there because of her Outlander Series. I loved it so much that I decided my first book Under Her Wings would take place in Scotland. I hope that someone will be encouraged to travel because of my books. Each of my books take place in Toronto and some place else in the world that I have traveled too. I want you to fall in love with the countries I have visited and fallen head over heels in love with.

8) What is your favorite part of the writing process?
When writing a male character I get to think and act like a man. Or the way I think a man should think or act. I raised four sons and a husband, I think I have residual testosterone that helps.

9) Describe your latest book in 4 words.
Trust and Love Misplaced

10) Can you share a little bit about your current work or what is in the future for your writing?
Under Her Wings is a stand alone novel but it is part of a series. The series Sistas is about a group of friends that work with special needs kids in different aspects. I am writing about each one of the friends in the group. I released the second book Lyrics Heart & Soul in December and I am nearly finished the third Thicker Then Blood and hope to release it in March or early April. I have also started to write the fourth and have notes for five and six.
I took a year sabbatical from my job to write this series and to see if it is time for a new career. I have to say I am absolutely loving writing and incorporating special needs kids into these stories. Working with special needs teenagers taught me to look at the world differently. They don’t judge and they take you at face value. If you are kind and loving to them, they will teach you more about the world then any university. So I am torn between two jobs I love and have no idea what the future holds.
